Community tip-off sends Sunrise brothers into police custody

Drugs and dagga were found stashed in a plastic.

Two brothers are expected to appear in court after they were arrested on March 25 for dealing in drugs.

The Ekurhuleni Flying Squad were doing routine patrols when they received information about people selling drugs at a house in Sunrise.

The information led police to the stand, where they found the brothers.

Zonkezizwe SAPS media liaison officer Sgt Rufus Tema said the brothers gave police permission to search the house.

“Upon searching, drugs and dagga were found stashed in a plastic. Police also found money believed to be earned by proceeds of selling drugs and dagga, which was also confiscated,” said Tema.

The suspects were immediately arrested for dealing in drugs and are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
