Local artist to drop new music

“I established my record label in 2017,” said NFK.

Record producer and artist Nkanyiso Khoza, known to many as NFK Ngempela, plans to release an eight-track extended-play (EP) titled Kad’ikati L’lele Eziko on April 5.

After releasing many unsuccessful projects, NFK continues to tell his stories, teach and entertain through rap music.
He said the title of his latest project Kad’ikati L’lele Eziko is a Zulu idiom or saying which translates to it’s been a while living in poverty.

“The EP is an introductory story of my life and my record label Ngempela Productions to the world. The music is based on my life experiences. My followers should expect nothing but the truth about what I’ve been through, where I’m at and where I’m going.

“I’ve never had the pleasure of working with a famous artist, but I’ve collaborated with some of the greatest underground artists like record producer Koporal from Vosloorus and artists like Creature, Black-O, Tick-Tock, T4 and Nosipho,” said NFK.

The youngster said music has always been part of his life, but it became more interesting for him when he started DJing in 2009 at the age of 15 years until 2011 when he lost his mentor.

“I started pursuing rap when I felt like I have a story to tell and my story might build someone else up. I recorded for the first time in 2014 and I haven’t looked back since. I established my record label in 2017,” said NFK.

With his production company, the young rapper aims to change Kathorus and inspire the youth through music. He said he aspires to walk in the footsteps of his favourite Katlehong rapper, Kwesta.

The EP will be available from all digital stores.
