Awareness programme for Jackson informal settlement

“Our organisation is to help the youth to speak out, knowing their rights regarding their personal space."

Boithuto Community Project from Jackson informal settlement has joined hands with Mondeor SAPS to create awareness among girls, women, and teenagers to be alert to dangers around them.

Constable Sibusiso Xaba and Sgt Elizabeth Mnguni offered their time to talk to our youth at the centre in Eikenhof.

“Our organisation is there to help the youth speak out and knowing their rights regarding their personal space. As an NGO in Jackson informal settlement will be doing this project full-time next year,” said Tracey le Roux, founder of Boithuto Community Project.

“Mondeor SAPS and our organisation will be offering support to families who are struggling by offering counselling as well as a mentorship programme for young men in Jackson that will be implemented soon.

“Mondeor SAPs also come and do talks to our women and girls and often bring food for our feeding project,” she said.

“Please support us through food donations to make up food parcels and any other way you wish to contribute.”
