Silwerkroon seniors crowned for good deeds

Selfless and caring Silwerkroon seniors who were out and about in 2019 were honoured on August 12.

Selfless and caring Silwerkroon seniors who were out and about since August 2019 were honoured on August 12 in Randhart.

This was inspired by an effort to appreciate them for their acts of kindness and involvement in the Silwerkroon residence.

Since its inception in 2018, the annual event, which was initiated by Stephanus Viviers, aims to recognise all those who are actively involved in the residence.

Viviers, the organiser, said: “We couldn’t bring together many people like we normally do each year, but we had to honour these good Samaritans for their hard work. They will be crowned up until August the following year and we thank them for their dedication.”

Those who were honoured included Alet van der Merwe, who was crowned as the first princess, Lorraine Jansen as the second princess and Rosa Viviers as queen.
