Letter to the editor

Please allow me to express my views about your recent venture to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in December.

Your effort together with your team has once again proved to be a motivation to the country’s youth and just about anyone who wishes to achieve their goals in life. I also agree that we all have our little mountains to climb and to overcome our obstacles in life.

Young people should take a “leaf” from the life of their elders in order to be able to shape their own and set their own goals. We often see too many young people fail in life and give up before they even start.

After reading your article, my advice to the youth is that they should learn from their parents and role models to be patient and not believe in ‘instant’ success. There are far too many young people who would rather engage in drugs than to do something positive with their lives.

And living a healthy lifestyle is what every young and elderly person must strive for to enjoy a balanced healthy life.
