Katlehong baskeball teams to put township on sporting map
Katlehong Pelicans coach Ali Tjale said the annual tournament is sponsored by Sasol, and will opens doors for young players from both teams to prosper in the game.
Katlehong Pelicans, a female basketball team, and Katlehong Bulls, a male squad, are preparing for the u-19 North West University Tournament scheduled for the Vaal campus between July 12 and July 14.

“There will be talent scouts from different universities to look for talent,” Tjale said.
He hopes the players will do well to make a name for themselves, and to earn an opportunity to play for bigger teams in the country.
Tjale said the purpose of the tournament is to select the team to represent Gauteng in future tournaments.
Expected to participate in the tournament are teams from the North West and Limpopo provinces.
