New lubricants for your electric car

Shell launches new fluids for battery electric vehicles for increased performance and efficiency.

Expanding its current range of lubricants, Shell is introducing a series of e-fluids to optimise electric vehicle performance. The new range will include E-Transmission Fluids, E-Thermal Fluids and E-Greases which all were engineered with automotive and component manufacturers for a wide variety of battery powered performance requirements.

“Electric mobility is one of the solutions that will help meet the growing demand for transport in a lower-carbon world. From power generation to charging and now with our new range of specialised E-Fluids, Shell is serving the needs of an increasing number of EV drivers,” Huibert Vigeveno, Executive Vice President of Global Commercial at Shell.

Extending the lifespan and improving emissions and efficiency, the new E-Fluids are ultra-low in its viscosity properties. With an average growth of 40-50% per year, Shell also offers its Shell Helix Hybrid developed for hybrid vehicles alongside the new E-Fluids to meet the electric vehicle market needs.
