During a recent stop-and-search operation, officers from the Katlehong North Police Station’s Crime Prevention Unit arrested 12 suspects.
Among the arrested suspects was a 42-year-old man who was charged with assault of a police officer and interfering with SAPS duties.
Other suspects were charged with various crimes, including common assault, malicious damage to property, possession of drugs and contravening a court order.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
Katlehong North SAPS acting station commander Lt Col Joshua Sekhu appealed to the community to help in the fight against crime by reporting criminal activities in their communities.
