Help Katlehong police allocate this missing boy

Communications officer at Katlehong Police Station Capt Mega Ndobe said a baby was fetched from a crèche by a woman employed to look after him.

Katlehong SAPS are investigating a case of a two-year-old boy who allegedly went missing on November 6 in Nhlapho Section in Katlehong North.

Communications officer at Katlehong Police Station Capt Mega Ndobe said a baby was fetched from a crèche by a woman employed to look after him.

“It is alleged the woman went to fetch a baby boy (Moses Mokoena). Upon investigating, the police discovered the mother of the baby had no details of the woman she hired to look after her child. The woman had been working as the boy’s nanny for only two weeks,” reports Ndobe. Lerato Mokoena, the missing boy’s mother, is appealing to anyone who might have information about the whereabouts of a woman who introduced herself as Lerato.

Ndobe said information received indicates the woman goes around with the boy, requesting donations.

“The last time the woman was seen was at a taxi rank next to Old Natalspruit Hospital.

“We would also like to appeal to the communities to assist in this matter as the woman is believed to be in the Katlehong vicinity,” Ndobe said.

A case of child kidnapping has been opened for investigation.
