Join the fun run in support of learning centre

The event will include a fun walk and run involving children from the surrounding crèches and the community at large.

Mulalo Early Learning Centre will be hosting a community 5km fun run at Phumula Township on September 28.

The event will include a fun walk and run involving children from the surrounding crèches and the community at large.

Pastor Lisa Malabi said they will also have inspirational speakers talking about children’s rights, child protection and violence against women and children.

“The purpose of the fun run is to raise funds to build extra classrooms to accommodate more children.

“We currently have limited space and we need to extend our building to have a minimum of five classes, a kitchen and a dining hall.

“This will help us improve our ability to give back to the community.

“We anticipate over 500 people attending this event and our church youth will be assisted by members of Gallopers Athletics Club in running the programme,” said Malabi.

“This will also be a means of skills development and it will give our youth exposure to events organising and programme management.”
