Popular duo heads to the Carnival City stage

Allow Ons Lieflinge to tug at the heart strings at Carnival City this June.

Their music tugs at the heartstrings and carries feel-good messages of love, romance, inspiration and Christianity, and this June they are headed to Carnival City.

The event is set to take place at 7.30pm on June 9 at the Mardi Gras Theatre.

One of just a few very popular duos, Rudi Claase and Charne Hugo, better known as Ons Lieflinge, deliver powerful music track after track and have gained a massive following and loads of fans.

Their latest double-platinum selling album Asemrowend consists of two discs, one in Afrikaans and one in English.

Fans can look forward to their stellar performances with the likes of Miljoene Stemme, Die maan se trane, Omdat ek jou liefhet and Pennies op die spoor from their Afrikaans album, as well as Come what may, We’re gonna stay together, Before the next teardrop falls and In love with you, from their English compilation.

Claase started the Ons Lieflinge concept over ten years ago, initially partnering with the popular female vocalist, Corlea.

After the release of two CDs, the two parted ways and Rudi then partnered with Zita.

The pair released just one album and then they also parted.

Finding the perfect singing partner is not an easy task, but clearly, Claase’s partnership with Hugo has been worth the wait.

Creating sounds to get lost in, these two sing in perfect harmony and leave fans covered in goosebumps from head to toe.

“We are thrilled to be hosting this powerful duo and know fans are going to love their performance as much this time as all other times,” said Michelle Smith, the marketing manager for Carnival City.
