Hernia patients treated at Hospital

Free hernia treatment was offered to seven patients at Clinix Botshelong-Empilweni Private Hospital in Vosloorus on July 25.

This followed the free treatment of gastroscopy patients on July 21.

Thoko Masondo, the hospital marketing manager, said this was their way of giving back to the community of Vosloorus.

“We did it in the name of Mandela,” said Masondo.

She said this was one of 67 procedures to be conducted by Clinix private hospitals all over the country.

“The treatment procedure costs about R130 000 per patient but the hospital is doing each one for free,” she said.

Masondo explained the procedure.

She said most of the parents will be transferred to the hospital from Telle Mogoerane Hospital.

One of the patients, Fredman Masondo, was excited on being treated at the private hospital for free.
