Woman (60) killed in crash
An female pedestrian (60) was killed after allegedly being knocked down by a motorcycle on the R554 in the direction of Leondale.
The accident happened at 7.27am on Monday, March 27.
Ekurhuleni Emergency Management Services vehicle personnel declared the victim dead on the scene.
The body of the pedestrian was lying in the middle of the road a couple of metres away from the point of impact.
The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was in a serious but stable condition. He was treated on the scene and transported to Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus.
Traffic was heavily affected as the road was closed following the crash.
Forensic pathologists later arrived on the scene to remove the body.
