Ramara is off to the US

“That is why we’re also appealing to the public for donations to cover some of these expenses during our stay in the US,” said Ramara who asked for all donations to be forwarded to the Germiston Flying Squad.

Sgt Khabo of the Germiston Flying Squad, together with head of the Dennilton Dog Unit, Sgt Andiswa Myeki, will be leaving for the United States on August 3, to further their training and as well as engage in practical police detection work in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Our itinerary has not been made available to us as yet, but all I can say for now is that our first visit will be to Atlanta, where our host will be the International Auto Theft Investigators Association (IATIA) before we are moved to Nashville where the team will undergo police work practicals on auto crime,” said an elated Sgt Ramara.

However, the flying squad sergeant pointed out that even though their airfare was sponsored by a local tracking company, for the rest of their needs, the two cops will have to pay for out of their pockets.

“That is why we’re also appealing to the public for donations to cover some of these expenses during our stay in the US,” said Ramara who asked for all donations to be forwarded to the Germiston Flying Squad.
