Bakkie thief nabbed

On October 2, members of the Germiston Flying Squad Unit arrested a man for being in possession of an alleged stolen Nissan NP200 bakkie.

The suspect was arrested after a car chase through the township by Sgt Thamsanqa Mtlaphing and Const Bongani Magubane, along with two car-tracking security officers. They cornered the fleeing stolen gold bakkie in Ludlelo Street.

The Nissan NP200, which was fitted with a tracking system, was reportedly stolen in Boksburg in the early hours of the morning. It was further alleged that the man arrested was on his way to sell the bakkie to a waiting client.
