Local teams battle it out in annual Ekurhuleni SAB Top Eight semi-finals
Germiston City FC and Luso Africa FC played hardball in the annual Ekurhuleni SAB Top Eight Tournament held at Vosloorus Stadium.

Germiston City Football Club won their quarter-final match against Katlehong Zone Three Football Club on Saturday in the annual Ekurhuleni SAB Top Eight Tournament.
Kick-off was at 1pm at Vosloorus Stadium.
This 3-1 win enabled Germiston to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Mqhele ‘General’ Nkosi scored his first goal in the 36th minute of the first half, and four minutes before the half-time whistle, Alex Petrovic joined Nkosi on the scoreboard through a penalty shot.
In the second half, Nkosi scored his brace in the 62nd minute.
Katlehong scored their consolation goal right in the last minutes of the game.
In the semi-finals the following day, fans saw a spectacular derby clash when Germiston faced local rivals Luso Africa FC.
Kick-off was at noon.
Following a 1-1 draw after over 90 minutes of game time, the teams prepared for penalty shoot-outs in which Germiston suffered a 4-1 defeat.
In the final, Luso faced Highlands Park FC.
The game ended 4-0 in favour of Highlands Park.
