“The eight-year-old victim told his grandmother how he was attacked by the boy, who lives in the same yard as him, and she reported it to the police,” explained corporate communications official for the Katlehong police Capt Mega Ndobe.

“During the police’s investigation, photographs of the incident were allegedly found on a DVD hidden behind a TV.”

The accused was arrested and taken to a place of safety, due to his age.

“He will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, on a charge of rape, under parental guidance,” explained Ndobe.

“The investigation continues.”
