Film lovers and creators called to attend film festival

Calling all film lovers from across the metro to witness the evolution of the township cinematic industry.

Vusi Nhlapo founded the Ekurhuleni Township Film Festival in 2015 after identifying a need for apt storytelling in Ekurhuleni townships.

The inaugural David Bopape Ekurhuleni Film Festival and Events was realised in 2016 with the partnership sponsor of National Film and Video Foundation to bring a diverse selection of independent cinematic content from the region.

The production toured through various townships in the metro and the movie screenings were inclusive of workshops directed at equipping film lovers with guidelines in navigating through cinema and film production.
