ANC Caucus sends message of condolences to the family of the late councillor

The ANC Ekurhuleni Caucus has learned with shock and sadness about the death of Clr Tebogo Maama, who was deployed as an ANC ward councillor.

Speaker at the ANC chief whip’s office, Tabang Mashiane, told Kathorus MAIL that Maama, the Ward 59 councillor, died at Union Hospital in Alberton on Thursday, August 10.

“We therefore seize this moment of grief, to convey our deepest and heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, comrades and to the ANC-led alliance, leagues and MKVA.

“We are quite aware that at this point in time, words alone will never be enough to ease the pain that comes with this great loss,” said Mashiane.

He said Maama was a selfless leader.

“He dedicated the better part of his life in servicing the community of Ekurhuleni, guided by his movement.

“As the office of the chief whip of the ANC, we wish to extend our gratitude to the family for having allowed us to share his life with the rest of the community of Ekurhuleni,” said Mashiane.

Details of about his funeral will be announced after a meeting with the family.
