Katlehong SAPS win the league
Katlehong Station Commander Brig Phumla Mdlankomo, on July 19, honoured Katlehong Police Football Club for winning the Eastern Regional League.
The Katlehong SAPS members were presented with trophies for their good work.
Communication official at Katlehong Police Station, Capt Mega Ndobe, said the club will represent the East Rand in the provincial tournament.
“Different regions including East Rand, Pretoria, Soweto, Vereeniging and Vaal will take part,” said Ndobe.
In her speech, Katlehong Station Commander, Brig Phumla Mdlankomo thanked them for their dedication to sport.
“Your focus is not only on combating crime, you are also participating in different activities which have put the name of the station on the map. Keep up the good work and keep on adding more trophies to the trophy cabinet,” said Mdlankomo.
She encouraged the team to represent the East Rand region with pride.
The team enjoyed eating lunch with Mdlankomo.
