Mother stabbed, killed
Vosloorus SAPS are investigating the case of murder that took place on Saturday, July 9 at NO. 1109 Mogotloane Road Extention One, in Vosloorus.
Communication official at Vosloorus Police Station, Capt Piet Rossouw, said the murder happened after the argument broke up between Maletsatsi Thinane and her daughter (18).
“The argument, of which the reason is still unknown, started at about 4pm. It later became serious when it is believed the daughter took out a knife and [allegedly] stabbed her own mother in the upper body. The victim tried to flee but she collapsed on the floor next to the lounge room where she was later found by paramedics who declared her dead on the scene,” said Rossouw.
Rossouw said the suspect was later arrested and detained at Vosloorus Police Station.
He said she appeared at Vosloorus Magistrate Court on Monday, July 10.
The investigation continues.
