The conference will take place on June 5 and 6 at Emperors Place.
It is set to create a platform that will endorse the city as an investment destination of choice and accelerate the inflow of domestic and foreign investment.
The city will use the conference to share with investors on the progress concerning its ground-breaking Aerotropolis project.
The Aerotropolis project is key in the investment promotion, attraction and facilitation of investment and development opportunities.
According to the executive mayor, Clr Mzwandile Masina, implementation of the 10-point economic plan seeks to ensure the crowd-in of strategic investments and to position the regional economy as an ideal destination for trade, tourism and investment.
“We believe through the effective implementation of this plan and other significant developments in the region, the potential and capability of the city will turn the tide in the socio-economic conditions of our people,” Masina said.
The conference will further showcase key projects and developments of Ekurhuleni as well as identify specific investment opportunities with a clear focus on aeronautics, manufacturing, aviation, fuel cells, urban renewal, plastics and rubber, natural resources and energy and high tech.
