Moshoeshoe is the man
Thesele Moshoeshoe, also known as DJ Thes-Man, is making his talent known in Kathorus.
Moshoeshoe (25) resides in Phumula Gardens, east of Johannesburg.
He said his upbringing was a bit of a challenge as he was raised only by his mother.
“I also have a sister and a younger brother.
“I started my schooling at Parkedene Primary School and completed my matric at Sunward Park High School,” he said.
He his musical journey began at the age of 14.
“My interest in house music started by collecting work from influential local and international players, such as DJ Fresh, Oskido, Rocco and many others.
“I then took it upon myself to further understand my passion for sound, presented in the form of house music, by DJ-ing at the age of 15.
“By 18 my strong intrigue in music pushed me into the realm of production.
“I started showing my interpretation in working with Miss Luna, Mr Zee Morez, and Patrick Bo, to name a few. My sound is more directed towards an Afro-deep and soulful nature,” said Moshoeshoe.
Moshoeshoe said he has released music under international labels DNH Records, Kolour Recordings, Atal Music, Sandisco Recordings, Afro Rebel Music and Kansak Recordings
“I also have my own independent record label called Ohyea Muziq that I started in 2014. I have released on other labels as well. My music is in all major digital stores worldwide. One can also listen to my sounds on SoundCloud and mixes on PodOmatic and on Mixcloud,” Moshoeshoe said.
He runs his own show, Journey Of Muziq, which is aired every Wednesdays on My House Radio FM in the United Kingdom. On Thursdays his show is played on Ibiza Live Radio in Spain. Repeats can be listened to every Sunday on Brooklyn Station in the US.
“I have done numerous guest mixes for radio stations such as Metro FM, Good Hope FM, Maluti Deep Station, Gabz FM in Botswana, Hoja Radio in Netherlands, My House Radio FM in United Kingdom, The Beat London 103.6 FM and mixes for blogs such House Music Jet, House Jet Radio and numerous radio stations abroad,” said Moshoeshoe.
Moshoeshoe said he is currently working on his new album. Details will be released soon.
