Nail-biting finals at the the Rugby 7s Tournament

KZN schools travel from afar for the 7s Rugby Tournament hosted at Hillcrest High School.

EIGHTEEN schools from KwaZulu-Natal battled it out at the Rugby 7s Tournament hosted at Hillcrest High School on Friday and Saturday, August 2 and 3. With two categories, the U15s and U18s, the tournament was described as highly competitive with a nail-biting set of finals.

Ferrum High School from Newcastle won the U18 category, closely contested by Westville Boys’ High School right up until the sudden-death playoff. The Westville Boys’ U15 team took the final prize against the Michaelhouse team.
Head of sports at Hillcrest High School, Patrick Windsor, thanked all those schools that participated, especially those that travelled long distances to be part of the tournament.
