Fabulous reads – Novel delivers a non-stop action ride

Book review - Last Survivor by Tony Park.

Last Survivor, Tony Park, Pan Macmillan, ISBN: 9781770107083

THE author’s 18th novel, Last Survivor is a gripping story set in Africa, so I would suggest you buckle up tight as you’re in for one action-packed ride.

If you’ve seen the giant, lonely cycad in the Durban Botanic Gardens, then this would be a worthy, informative and interesting read as it focusses on the theft of a rare and thought-to-be-extinct cycad that has the potential to fetch millions on the black market.

ALSO READ: Fabulous reads – Koontz delivers terrifying thriller

Joanne Flack, who is suspected of stealing this plant, is being hunted by a terrorist group and Sonja Kurtz, an ex mercenary, is hired by the CIA to find her and search for the truth behind the missing cycad, poaching as well as intel on the terrorist group.

In this suspense-filled drama, some the heroic and interesting characters from Park’s previous novels make an appearance and it is indeed interesting to catch up with them again.

This book is filled with non-stop action and will hold you enthralled till the end.
