THE naughty rabbits are taking over Nu Metro cinemas in KZN this weekend. If you missed the special pre-release screenings last weekend, no worries: Peter Rabbit and the gang return to officially entertain you with the family comedy-adventure of the year. Horror movie fans can look forward to the spine-tingling new chapter from the Sawsaga, and, there’s a one-of-a-kind local comedy-drama in “Afrikaaps”. The brand new Salman Khan action blockbuster also hits select cinemas with true Bollywood power.

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway (7-9PG)

Bea, Thomas, and the rabbits have created a makeshift family, but, despite his best efforts, Peter can’t seem to shake his mischievous reputation. Adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where his mischief is appreciated. When his family risks everything to come looking for him, Peter must figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be in this epic new comedy-adventure for the whole family – the sequel to the original box office hit.

A sadistic mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in Spiral, the terrifying new chapter from the book of the cult horror-saga Saw– starring Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson. Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran, brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks and his rookie partner take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the centre of the killer’s morbid game.

How does a family move on after the death of a father? That is the question at the heart of South Africaʼs first Muslim film, a comedy-drama, in “Afrikaaps”. When matriarch Aisha Davids decides to accept a marriage proposal, she devises a plan to break the news to her four sons over Eid. The only problem is that her two eldest sons have been at loggerheads since their father passed away and refuse to be in the same room together.

The action-packed Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhaistars Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan, as Radhe – an ageing gangster, who has to reignite old feuds when his daughter, Radhika (Disha Patani), is kidnapped. After taking down dreaded gangster Gani Bhai, ACP Rajveer Shikawat (aka “Radhe”) goes on a manhunt to find the head of a crime syndicate–the wealthiest man in the town.
