Ford South Africa is giving its EcoSport crossover an additional dose of style and personality with the introduction of the limited-edition EcoSport Black.
The limited-edition model is based on the EcoSport Ambiente 1.5 Auto and it is fitted with a black front grille, skid plate and black decal on the upper section of the hood.
The roof is also painted in black as well as integrated roof rails plus black side decals and mirror caps.
It rides on stylish 16-inch black alloy wheels that replace the 15-inch steel rims. There is also a black spare wheel cover as standard. The EcoSport Black is available in White, Moondust Silver, Smoke, Blue Lightning and Canyon Ridge to amplify the black detailing.
Powering the limited-edition EcoSport Black is a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with 91 kW and 151 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox that drives the front wheels.
The interior is fitted with the brand’s SYNC® with Bluetooth and Voice Control integrates the multimedia entertainment and phone functions, and incorporates two USB ports, six speakers and a 4.2-inch screen. Electrically operated windows are fitted all around, along with manual air-conditioning and Ford’s electric power-assisted steering.
Safety comes from six airbags (dual front, side and curtain airbags) and dual ISOFIX child-seat mounting points in the rear seats, ABS brakes, Emergency Brake Assist and Electronic Stability Control with traction control.
It further features remote control locking, an integrated perimeter alarm and an engine immobiliser plus standard rear parking sensors.
The Ford EcoSport Black is priced at R336 900 and comes standard with Ford Protect, comprising a four-year/120 000km comprehensive warranty, three-year/unlimited distance roadside assistance and five-year/unlimited km corrosion warranty.
A four-year/60 000km service plan is included, with 15 000km service intervals.
