Next-gen Volkswagen Amarok teased
The new Amarok will be built at Ford's Silverton Plant here in Mzansi alongside the new Ranger.
Volkswagen has revealed the first teaser image depicting the second-generation Amarok that looks very close to reality.
Shown in a double cab configuration, the new Volkswagen Amarok will be built on the same platform that underpins the Ford Ranger.
From the teaser, the new Volkswagen Amarok seems to have been fitted with roof rails, an LED light bar as well as a roll bar in the bed. The front-end has been tweaked and seems to feature a new bumper, fog lights as well as an X-shaped silver panel.
If everything goes according to plan, Volkswagen could introduce a direct Ranger Raptor rival likely a year after the new Amarok has been launched.
