Nissan dealership experience in your own home

Since the COVID-19 pandemic reached South African shores, Nissan has been hard at work finding new ways for customers to experience dealership services in the comfort of their own home.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic reached South African shores, Nissan has been hard at work finding new ways for customers to experience dealership services in the comfort of their own home. Vehicle owners and potential customers can now access some of Nissan’s services, submit queries and make bookings from the comfort of their own homes. This update to the online platforms includes the ability to conduct a video call with sales personnel nationwide which enable buyers to get a full virtual vehicle demonstration.

To access this service, customers can visit the Shop@Home tab on the website which now features on the South African websites as well as across the Middle East, Turkey and India sites. While the option of a pre-finance assessment will be introduced soon, customers can complete the entire buying process online with the assistance of a finance calculator. Potential customers can also access service and warranty information and soon will be able to request a home test drive from select dealerships.

“The digital space offers huge potential to revolutionise the vehicle purchase and ownership experience. At Nissan, we listened to customers during this challenging time, and have developed a range of online features and services that allow people to choose, compare, configure and even purchase a vehicle from the comfort and safety of their own homes,” Guillaume Cartier, Chairman, Nissan Africa, Middle East and India.

The Shop@Home section also includes fun family activities, tips on how to be safe as well as updates on Nissan’s efforts in fighting the virus. Nissan also aims to include 360 virtual tours on the platform to give customers an opportunity to explore dealership floors and see all the vehicles on offer.

“The pandemic has had a profound impact on businesses and people. We are adapting to a ‘new normal’ by providing the functionality needed around buying and owning a vehicle, with the safety, flexibility, and ease of doing so from home or place of work. It is all about convenience for our customers,” Joni Paiva, Regional Vice President, Nissan Africa, Middle East and India.
