Soundcloud:

Rafe Hamilton (Soundclout): Jo’burg based rapper, Rafe Hamilton has dropped his debut 7-track project, which is appropriately named, Soundclout. The underground rapper has a nice recognisable trap sound that makes you want to jump like a possessed maniac in your room instead of the club (because of lockdown). You can feel that the artist is having fun on this tape and with tracks like “Supa Zooted” it’s safe to say that this tape has no skips and should have listeners arguing over who gets the aux-cable in the uber ride on the way to the club, post-lockdown.

Favourite track: Quarterback featuring Ntatao and Aaron Ezra.

Sei Siren (Hubedu): Visual artist and underground alternative musician, Sei Siren offers up an incredibly addictive first album that’s rooted in electronic dance sounds that make you want to ignore social distancing protocols and rave in a crowded space. This album speaks a lot about love and the artist calls it “Hubedu is an act of perseverance and faith in myself,”  she said on Instagram. This project was written and composed by Sei Siren. Available on all platforms (preview on Soundcloud).

Favourite track: Obtuse

Soulection Radio: “Future beats, eclectic soul, forgotten gems and timeless sounds” is the thing you hear from DJ and host Joekay, who invited DJs to mix on the show that normally runs for two hours. With over 400 episodes, Soulection radio shows are a blend between modern-day classics and some of the finest sounds from the past. The show is consistently rich in its music history and range of tracks and can provide anyone who works with music playing in the background with some quality shows.
