Young anglers reel in spots at national champs

The four learners need your help to get to Jeffrey's Bay to compete in the junior national champs in January next year.

FIVE members of the Kloof Angling Club recently received the nod and were capped by the KwaZulu-Natal Anglers Union.

The talented team have been invited to compete in Jeffrey’s Bay and need your help to get there.

The team consists of learners from Kloof High School and Kloof Senior Primary School and each child was excited to be selected to form part of the 2020 KwaZulu-Natal Coast Anglers Union U16 School League Shore Angling Team. The capping ceremony was help at the the Royal Durban Golf Club at the end of October.

The team hopes to take part in the South African Shore Anglers Association 2020 Juniors National Championships from Tuesday, 7 to Friday, 10 January in Jeffery’s Bay in the Eastern Cape.

“The trip to Jeffery’s Bay is quite costly. Should anyone be willing and able to help sponsor this wonderful team, please contact Kloof High School and ask to speak to Avash Juggernath, the coach,” said the school’s marketing manager, Tamaryn Van Wyk.
