Marine biology obsessed Quinn has withdrawn from everyone around her, barely goes to school and never goes back into the water.

With her swimming scholarship about to go down the drain, Quinn feels as if she’ll never recover from the accidental death of her best friend, Dylan.

Wild Blue Wonder is a tear-jerking novel of deep loss and guilt. With Dylan gone, Quinn struggles to pull herself out of her grief and, with the arrival of new boy Alexander, she finds herself pulling away before the monster in her can hurt someone else.

This young adult novel is a ‘feel all the feels’ read.

The book alternates between letters to Dylan about their last summer together, and the present winter with Quinn muddling her way through a life that has become dull. The reader can’t help but fall in love and mourn sweet Dylan and, at the same time, root for each main character as they go through their own journey of healing.

Quinn and her hilarious Nana begin to rebuild the same boat that was there during the accident. Quinn believes if she can fix the boat, she could possibly fix herself.

Sorosiak paints the most amazing pictures with her words and it almost feels as if you are standing in the middle of The Hundred camp. Please be aware that this book contains topics such as death and loss as well as LGBT themes.

Grab your tissues folks, after reading this book you are going to be a complete, blubbering mess. – Caitlin Walsh
