Follow their dance prints through Africa
The show is set to raise funds for the Ingani Yami Children's home.
THE show,’Footprints through Africa’ is a Karen Drake Studio dance production, showcasing its studio performers between the ages of four and 24 at The Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre.
It is a wonderful journey of dance that will take the audience on an African Adventure which ultimately demonstrates the beauty behind leaving your own individual mark for others to see.
“Through ballet, tap, hip hop, modern and musical theatre numbers, we will travel from the Kalahari sand dunes through to the African Grasslands which is home to not only stunning plant life, such as water lilies and spring flowers, but also to gorgeous animals such as baby hippos, flamingos and zebra,”‘ said dance teacher in Kloof and Westville, Karen Drake.
“Following this picturesque safari, the audience will also bear witness to a vibey African scene inclusive of sassy ladies, construction workers and playful groups of children all of whom will eventually lead us to our very own beaches of Durban.”
“We look forward to having you there with us and hope to leave our very own dancers’ footprint in your hearts!” she said.
The studio will donate funds raised to the Ingani Yami Children’s home.
Show dates are Friday, 16 August at 6pm; Saturday 17 August at 2pm and 6pm and on Sunday, 18 August at 2pm. Tickets are available through Computicket.
