Be part of the change

The conference will be a great opportunity for people to learn about what non-profit organisations are achieving on behalf of the poor and needy.

A PUBLIC benefit organisation, Nation Changers, is hosting a Set Ablaze Conference on Friday, 2 August.

The organisation is based in Hillcrest and empowers impoverished communities on its doorstep through education; and it has helped build two schools.

“This will be a great opportunity for people to learn about what non-profit organisations are achieving on behalf of the poor and needy in the Durban and Upper Highway areas,” said Nadine Wright of Nation Changers.

Twenty selected non-profit organisations of excellence will showcase what they do to inspire others to start organisations or support work already in progress.

There will be stories to inspire and renowned speakers such as Eric Tocknell, Cindy Norcott, Candace Davidson and Rodney Spencer. Well-known gospel singer, Jolene Joseph will provide entertainment.

The event will be held at CityHill Church, 1 Greenmeadow Lane, corner Inanda Road, Hillcrest from 8am to 2pm.

Entrance is free, tea, coffee and snacks will be served. There will be goodie bags and lucky prizes.

To be part of this day, register online before Tuesday, 30 July, www.nationchangers.co.za. People can take donations of gently-worn clothing for the Nation Changers Clothing Box.
