  1. Guided Tour of the Falls

The locals refer to Victoria Falls as the Mosi-oa-Tunya – The smoke that thunders because when in full flood, the water belts down the cliff edge and creates a spray of water than resembles smoke. The falls is an astounding 1 708 meters wide and drops approximately 120 meters into the Zambezi Gorge. Regarded as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, a visit to Victoria Falls is a must. This guided tour takes you on foot to the best vantage points so that you can savor the beauty of the falls and take some incredible snapshots.

  1. Helicopter flights and micro-flights over the Falls

The 25 Minute Zambezi Spectacular flight takes you over the falls in both directions, flying downstream over the Batoka Gorge ad back over the upper Zambezi River and national park.

The 15 minute micro flight takes you over the Victoria Falls and to the islands nearby, whilst the 30 minute micro flight takes you over the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls before heading upstream to Kalai Island, where one does a low level swoop over the Mosi-oa-Tunya Zoological Park.

Whitewater rafting down the Zambezi River is one of the most exhilarating experiences to be had in Victoria Falls and around the world. The Zambezi River offers some of the finest Grade 5 high volume rapids – The Stairway to Heaven rapid is a 8 meter drop and the Commercial Suicide rapid is rated 5 to 6 in difficulty.

Low water rafting is generally offered from August to December whilst high water rafting is generally between January and February and again from June to July.

  1. Devils Pool

Devils Pool is a rock pool located on the edge of Victoria Falls. It is definitely not for the faint hearted but offers some of the best views of this natural wonder.

The pool is accessed from Livingstone Island on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls and is only generally open during the dry season months of September to December when water levels are low enough to allow safe swimming.

You board a boat to Livingstone Island where you then walk over rocks and swim to get to Devil’s Pool. Guides are there to help you and keep you safe, especially when you peering over the 100 meter drop into the gorge below.

  1. Bungee Jumping

The 111 meter freefall bungee jump from the Victoria Falls Bridge is one of the highest and most scenic in the world. Strapped into a body and ankle harness, you fall head first towards the rushing waters of the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls in the background. One freefalls for a total of four seconds before being wrenched back up.
