Red Bull Amaphiko Festival Gig Guide

The Festival which will be hosted by Hlubi Mboya and takes place at the KZN Music House in Greyville from 11am – 5pm.

Nasty C, will headline this year’s event at the KZN Music House.

Storyteller Sessions under the topics of Women in Innovation and The Business of Arts: Women in Innovation – Moderated by Nomfanelo Dlomo, Founder of Chemstart and Red Bull Amaphiko Alumni, Bathabile Mpofu, CEO of Innovate Durban Aurelia Albert, Musician and Founder of Colour Fashion Label Nandi Madida, The Business of Arts – Moderated by Russel Hlongwane, DJ and Businesswoman DJ Zinhle, Motivational Speaker Mam Gcina Mhlophe and Founder of ZuluGal Retro and Red Bull Amaphiko Alumni, Nozipho Zulu.

The aim of the Red Bull Amaphiko Festville is to offer crucial support to grass-roots social entrepreneurs by providing them with mentorship, coaching and assistance to unlock various business opportunities.

Local actress, Hlubi Mboya, at the inaugural Red Bull Amaphiko Film Festival at Eyethu in Soweto, will host the Durban event.

Taking place from the 15 to the 22 of June at the KZN Music House and the 1860’S Settlers’ Museum, the academy is an eight-day residential camp that forms the beginning of an 18-month mentorship programme to enable people with social impact initiatives, projects and businesses.

It concludes with the Amaphiko Festiville, which is open to the public that will be held on Saturday, 22 June.
