IMAGINE a police force that is set in medieval times, now throw into the mix a few thousand humans, orcs, elves and dwarves all squabbling for power in the bustling city of Yenara.
Remmeck, or Rem as he becomes affectionately known, is introduced to the reader as a prisoner behind bars in the Fifth Ward in the great city.
One can only guess the reason behind his imprisonment and how he will, as the title of the book series suggests, ingratiate himself into the company of the Watch Wardens (the police).

It is simple to read and has an almost predictable storyline, but I found myself constantly wondering what the writer may have in store for me in his intricately designed world.
His writing style was fresh and his action scenes had my eyes dashing back and forth across the page, devouring each word while my mind sculpted the scenes into movie-like quality.
There is just so much on offer and a host of tales waiting to be spun after this one.
It’s fun, quirky, action-packed and not at all what I expected. I loved it! The next book in the series is due out some time this year and it has already been added to my to-be-read pile.
