This nifty pocket guide is an ideal introduction and travelling companion for birders visiting or living in the region. Ian Sinclair is recognised as one of Africa’s foremost field birders and has led many expeditions to find and research the feathered beings. He is the most published author on the birds of Africa and its adjacent islands, having written more than 20 bird books.

Co-author, Joris Komen, is a former curator of birds at the National Museum of Namibia, has undertaken extensive research on the diverse species of the southwestern arid zone of Africa. He travels widely in search of Africa’s endemic birds, as well as working on rural access to the internet and renewable energy.
