Prepare to perform for the masses

Prepare a three-minute monologue and your whole life could change.

HEAR ye, hear ye! Local performers stand a chance to take part in the Playhouse Company’s Community Arts Mentorship Programme (CAMP) for 2018 and auditions will be held between February and April.

“Through funding from the Department of Arts and Culture’s Incubator Programme, we are able to hone the raw talents of our artists who will learn from the very best in the country,” said the CEO and artistic director of The Playhouse Company, Linda Bukhosini.

The actors who are accepted into the programme will participate in daily workshops that focus on basic training in a range of drama disciplines, such as voice production, acting technique, script writing and stage management.

Daily commitment is required to take part and only those between 18 to 35 years old will be considered for auditions.

Auditions will be held in Studio A1 (Playhouse head office, Acutt Street) at 10am on Thursday, 25 and Friday, 26 January.

Only those with a confirmed slot will be auditioned. Performers are required to prepare a three-minute monologue.
