Shop till you drop at fashion exchange

There will be two days of ultimate shopping for those also wanting to help make a difference in the community.

THE Chich Mamas Do Care Durban team will be hosting a bumper two-day charity fashion event on Wednesday, 3 and Thursday, 4 May at Westville Boys’ High School’s Griffin Room.

On day one, there will be a fashion exchange from 9am to 5pm. The team will focus exclusively on selling top-end, pre-loved and new garments, shoes and accessories.

The stock will be continually refreshed as exciting new donated items hit the rails. Shoppers are encouraged to bring along four to six great items to donate in exchange for tokens of nominal value to spend on the floor. This is a fun element where everyone wins.

Day two will include May madness from 9am to 2pm. Its rails will become a treasure hunting trove as they will be bulging with stock that will be cleared at half-price and less. There will also be top-end stock available at full price but please note, there will not be an exchange option on day two.

Donated garments, shoes, handbags and accessories are the group’s main funding source, so if you or someone you know may be clearing cupboards or moving home contact Verity on 082 904 8810 or like its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/chicdurban.
