Book your seats for Robin Hood panto

Tickets are now available for purchase for the local club's exciting end of year play.

THE Westville Theatre Club will stage a modern day panto based on the story of Robin Hood in December.

Take a fair damsel in the form of Maid Marion, her doting nurse with a penchant for Irish friars, stir in a gossip columnist, a malevolent Sherriff of Nottingham and of course, Robin Hood and his merry men, and you have a recipe for tons of fun.

Musical numbers that range from 80s and 90s pop, rollicking country and evergreen ballads, are sure to create an incredible theatrical experience and will have the audience dancing in the aisles and laughing out loud.

The panto is written by Els de Bundel and directed by Mervin Lowe and features a four piece band and a cast of new and young members.

The shows run from 1 to 4 December and 7 to 10 December at the Westville Theatre Club. Doors open at 7pm and the shows will start at 8pm. The two matinees will also be staged on 3 and 4 December and the doors will open at 1.30pm, and the play will start at 2pm. Tickets are R80 for all shows. During the matinees, tickets are R50 for students and pensioners. To book tickets, contact Shirley Emanuel on 031 267 0682, 082 343 6971 or e-mail shirleyemanuel03@gmail.com
