Baroque 2000 features Odeion Vocal Consort

BAROQUE 2000’s penultimate concert of the year features the Odeion Vocal Consort of Bloemfontein at the Church of the Monastery in Mariannhill this Sunday, 27 November at 11.30am.

Directed by Lance Phillip, this quartet has made three previous and greatly acclaimed appearances with Baroque 2000. They will sing Bach’s six movement Cantata for the first Sunday of Advent, Nun komm der Heiden Heiland, and Giacomo Antonio Perti’s Magnificat in D. The other works are Handel’s concerto Grosso op 6 no 1 for strings and Telemann’s Suite TWV 55:D6 for cello obbligato and strings.

The Monastery tea garden will be open for breakfast and light lunches. Tickets are R140 at the door, and there is free and safe parking.
