Afrikaans boy to showcase comedy antics

The hilarious Schalk Bezuidenhout, brings his highly anticipated debut one-man comedy show, Second Language, to Durban.

UP-and-coming comedy star, Schalk Bezuidenhout, will show off his comedy antics at the Durban Jewish Club, 44KE Masinga Road in North Beach on Friday, 16 and Saturday, 17 September at 8pm.

You may have seen him on TV as he had his own Comedy Central Special, and more recently starred in White Christmas Comedy Special (aired on MNet, DSTV BoxOffice). Schalk was Trevor Noah’s opening act for no less than five weeks at the Teatro in 2015 and is also a Comics’ Choice Award 2015 recipient.

You may have also seen him tearing up the Durban Club Comedy scene recently.

Now, this hilarious Afrikaans boy brings his highly anticipated debut one-man comedy show, Second Language, to Durban.

Coming from a community where your mother’s breast milk would be brannewyn en coke, you’d walk kaalvoet to school, and hide your lunch money when a black man walked past, Schalk explains how he perceives the world through his boerewors spectacles.
