Hillfest 2016 postponed

Due to a number of reasons, the family event has been postponed to an as yet unspecified date later on in the year.

THIS year’s Hill Fest, initially planned to run at the Durban Shongweni Club from 25 to 27 March, has been postponed, with new dates set to be announced later in the year.

According to the event organisers, there were delays related to the erecting of advertisements as well as a number of other set events taking place in the greater Durban area at the same time, resulting in slow ticket sales.

“Unfortunately when planning any new event, there are always unanticipated complications and we decided that, for the sake of all wanting to attend, rescheduling the event for later in the year was the best call,” explained event organiser, Gavin Horn.

However, those wishing to attend are not to despair as organisers are in the process of setting new dates with even more activities planned for the 2016 Hill Fest, with a focus on community, family and fun. Some of the activities will include train rides and inflatables for the children, touch rugby and beach soccer for the sports’ enthusiasts as well as on-stage performances and death-defying feats by master motorbike acrobats. Quality products, ranging from arts and crafts to cars and lifestyle products, will be available for purchasing at the event.

“We do apologise to everyone for any inconvenience caused but we are sure that the 2016 Hill Fest will be a fantastic family event,” said Gavin. “We will announce the new dates as soon as all arrangements are finalised.”
