KZN model finalists compete in national pageant

Extreme Model Management models have had an eventful 2015 and look forward to an even better 2016.

LOCAL models and KZN finalists are in Pretoria to participate in the Miss and Mr Junior South Africa 2016 from Tuesady, 22 to Saturday, 26 March.

Miss and Mr Junior SA puts great emphasis on charity work and is involved with charities such as Meals on Wheels, Westville Babyhouse and local feeding programmes.

The 2015 titleholders, Miss Petite SA, Samantha Gatland, Mr Tiny South Africa, Aiden Norris, and Miss Mini SA, Katelyn Jordaan, are among the group going to Pretoria to hand over their titles.

Nine-year-old Samantha Gatland said 2015 has been a very special year. “Although I won’t be Miss Petite South Africa any more, I will continue with all the charity work my mom and I did during my reign. I love to help others and will continue to do so.”

Extreme Model Management owner, Adelle Botes, said it takes a lot of hard work, commitment and preparation to participate in national and international pageants.

“It is not just one-dimensional but it requires a great spokesman and ambassador, a young person who can show during the interview and by her conduct that she is an all-rounder and cares about the less fortunate in her community.

“This year we are taking a strong group of young ladies and hope to bring home the titles, but in the end it is a great challenge for everyone and they come back much stronger and all winners in our eyes,” said Botes.

Miss Junior SA KZN and first princess in Miss Model of the World, which was held in China, Suné Botes, will not be able to attend the pageant in Pretoria this year as shehas left for China for a three-month modelling contract.
