Decorex Durban is a comprehensive showcase of the latest décor and design trends, products and services and takes place at the Durban Exhibition Centre.

In keeping with its new theme – Take it Home, Make it Home – the Durban exhibition promises visitors infinite takeaway ideas and inspiration for their interior and exterior spaces. Covering every aspect of your home and offering the ultimate shopping experience, this year’s theme taps into the very latest global design and décor trends. Among these is a fresh focus on the quality, detail, layering and timelessness of the ‘considered home’. A pop-up market, hosted by I Heart Market, promises to delight the senses of all shoppers, running all day on Saturday.

The I Heart Market, a proudly Durban initiative that takes place monthly at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and serves as a lively platform for a vibrant selection of local hand-made products, will pop up a at Decorex this year. The ever-popular local market will be open alongside this year’s exhibition on Saturday, 19 March from 10am to 4pm.

Adding to the array of inspiring products on offer from KwaZulu-Natal’s design leaders and exciting new local players, the market will give visitors a wide choice of limited-edition pieces, from local fashion to children’s toys, homeware, art, ceramics, recycled and repurposed products, jewellery, second-hand collectables and vintage clothing.

“The I Heart Market at Decorex Durban will offer Durbanites a truly unique shopping experience, adding the infectious energy of the market vibe to the KwaZulu-Natal leg of the exhibition,” said Sian Gutstadt, portfolio director of Decorex SA. “What’s more, because traders will be drawn predominantly from Durban and its surrounds, the market will be a truly local affair.”

During the expo, foodies will get their fill of the fun with delicious culinary experiences and endless dining options, from casual cafés and full-service restaurants to the perennially popular gourmet market.

Trade-focused days will be on 18 and 19 March and Decorex Durban is open from 10am to 8pm on 18 to 20 March and 10am to 6pm on 21 March.
