A night of smooth soulful sounds

Great prizes will be on offer and the show promises tons of fun.

THE sixth edition of Up Close and Personal Live Music Sessions promises to be special, featuring the likes of Monde Msutwana from Johannesburg, who will be performing in Durban for the first time following the release of his début, self-produced soulful album, titled Introspection.

Hosted at the Jazzy Rainbow in Morningside on Saturday, 31 October, Msutwana will also engage his fans by chatting with them intimately in an effort to expose his heart of song, which will reveal why he was a national fan favourite in season eight of SA Idols, where he was a third runner-up to Khaya Mthethwa.

Also in the line-up is Richards Bay-based soul crooner, Ndumiso Guliwe (also known as Sledger Soul in music circles), who effortlessly manoeuvres between the genres of neo-soul, afro soul and soulful house as both a vocalist and producer. Guliwe is currently working on releasing his singles.

In the birthday celebration of soul music’s local patron, Thando Nyameni, the music session has an added list of performers which includes the likes of Lihle Ngongoma, Zoe The Seed, Next Level and The Projekt.

Great prizes will be on offer and the show guarantees a ton of fun, you don’t want to miss out. Pre-sale tickets are R100 and R120 at the door, with complimentary drinks. Visit Spotless Worx Entertainment on Facebook, call 061 447 0306 or e-mail info@spotlessworxsa.com.
