Golden Paw Society hosts tea

The aim of the Golden Paw Society will be to welcome supporters in as part of the SPCA family.

THE Golden Paw Society will be will hosting a tea on Thursday, 29 October at the Kloof and Highway SPCA tea garden.

The inspectorate team will talk about the various cases they investigate and the cases currently at court and where convictions have been received.

A report on the brutality of dog fighting, which is currently a great concern in South Africa, will be presented.

A special guest speaker from Litres for Education will share some information about its initiative to create positive change in their community and how you can get involved.

The aim of the Golden Paw Society will be to welcome supporters in as part of the SPCA family and keep society informed about the work undertaken by the Kloof and Highway SPCA in terms of inspectorate activities, animal healthcare, care of animals in the shelter, outreach clinics and education to promote the humane treatment of all animals.

Refreshments will be served and there is no charge, however donations are always welcome.

All the charity shops will be open for those who wish to go shopping before or after the tea. Guests will be invited for a guided tour around the animal shelter after the meeting.
