TINA’S Hotel in Kloof will proudly host a night of fantastic stand-up comedy show featuring some of Durban’s funniest and most accomplished comedians – Jem Atkins (‘Single Dad’), Neil Green, Ryan Whittal and Liam Johns – on Friday, 4 September at 8:30pm.
Headline act, Neil Green, easily one of Durban’s funniest and most respected comedians, Green is a rising star in the SA comedy industry.
His sharp wit, commanding stage presence, packed-out one-man shows (‘I’m Ill’) and hilariously honest take on life have won him legions of fans throughout the country.
The host for the evening will be Jem Atkins, a regular on the Durban Comedy scene for several years now. Atkins is riding high on the success of his one-man shows – ‘Single Dad’ and ‘Single Dad II’.
Support acts will be Liam Johns and Ryan Whittal. Johns has been performing throughout KZN and is fast becoming one of SA’s favourite comedians.
He has toured Johannesburg and performed with some of the biggest names in the industry.
A staple on the On Fire team, his stage presence is calm and unassuming while his comedy is smart, clean and well thought out. He’ll make you think and he’ll make you laugh. Whittal has a comedy career spanning almost 15 years, pretty-much performed everywhere and with everyone, including comedy legends like Tony Stewart, Mel Miller, Barry Hilton and Joe Parker.
Originally from Johannesburg, his high-energy performances are peppered with well-refined impersonations, all delivered with a rather charming boyish enthusiasm.
