Tantalising tea bowls on display

Go along to view some exquisite pottery, artworks and paintings at Andrew Walford's open day on Sunday, 7 December from 10am to 6pm.

DON’T miss Andrew Walford’s pottery open day at his studio in Shongweni on Sunday, 7 December from 10am to 6pm.

Go along to absorb the country Zulu zen experience. There’s hundreds of flame-fired pots, Ikebana and a bargain basement.

Andrew has recently returned from Korea, where for two years running he has been awarded prizes for his tea bowls. His entry to Singapore chawan exhibition was also a sell out.

There will be a section where you can taste various teas including the fabled Korean green tea out of Andrew’s bowls. You can also enjoy Joy’s homemade cakes and Neetha’s legendary breyani at the open day.

Walford’s studio overlooks the Shongweni Dam and game reserve. Take the Shongweni exit off the N3 freeway and follow signs for 8kms to B9 in the Shongweni Valley M551, continuation of Kassier Road. Alternatively you can contact Andrew on 031 769 1363 or 082 794 7796 or visit his website: www.andrewwalfordpottery.com
